How to Care for Your T-Shirts: Washing, Drying, and Longevity
Quality tees last years when cared for properly. Simple changes to how you wash and dry can preserve color, shape, and softness.
Washing
Cold water only—heat fades dye and damages fibers. Turn darks and prints inside out. Use a gentle or dark-specific detergent; skip fabric softener on performance or technical fabrics. Wash similar colors together; separate whites from colors for the first few washes.
Drying
Air dry in the shade when possible. Tumble dry on low if you must; remove while slightly damp to avoid over-drying. Never dry dark or graphic tees on high heat—it sets fading and can crack prints.
Storage and Rotation
Fold and stack or hang; avoid overcrowding so fabrics can breathe. Rotate your tees so the same ones aren't worn and washed every week. Mend small holes and loose threads early.
Invest in tees built to last—then care for them well.
